ANALYSIS OF THE ROLE OF LITURGICAL MUSIC IN THE EUCHARIST OF THE HOLY TRINITY COMMUNITY

This study aims to analyze the role of liturgical music in enhancing the congregation's spiritual engagement during the celebration of the Eucharist within the Most Holy Trinity Community (Komunitas Tritunggal Maha Kudus/KTM). The study employed a descriptive quantitative method. Data were collected through a Google Forms questionnaire distributed to 106 respondents aged 17 to over 50 years who actively participated in Eucharistic celebrations within the KTM community. The results indicate that the music used in KTM is distinct, characterized by a more expressive and rhythmic style, with a "praise and worship" quality that differs from the music typically found in standard parish settings. Key findings reveal that music serves as a vital instrument capable of evoking the joy of faith, aiding concentration during prayer (particularly during Communion), and facilitating a more intimate, personal encounter between the faithful and Jesus. In the KTM context, music functions not merely as an accompaniment or a liturgical supplement, but as a spiritual bridge that encourages the congregation to more fully embody their faith in their daily lives. The study concludes that the integration of dynamic, contemporary music-while carefully preserving the sacred nature of the liturgy-is a crucial factor in deepening the inner life of the faithful and fostering their active participation in the mystery of the Eucharist.
